The Festival Academy. Monday, June 10–Saturday, June 22, 2024

 

ManiFeste, the IRCAM multidisciplinary festival and academy, is a gathering of creative artists in Paris, combining music with other disciplines: theater, dance, digital arts, and visual arts, cinema.

 

The academy welcomes and trains many young composers, performers, and listeners from all over the world to benefit from our large-scale artistic and technological environment and a large public audience during the workshops.

 

 

The Academy will provide an opportunity for students, whether active or auditors, to:

 

  • to attend rehearsals of composition workshops and performance master classes,
  • to follow the courses of the composers, artists, musicians and invited musicians,
  • to access the exceptional documentary collection of the IRCAM library,
  • to attend all the academy concerts free of charge,
  • to benefit from special rates for ManiFeste-2024 festival concerts.

 

In 2024, the academy invites Israeli American composer Chaya Czernowin, patron of the 2024 ÉLAN Award, and Italian composer Daniele Ghisi, in partnership with the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, Italian composer Francesca Verunelli who leads a Solo Composition Workshop dedicated to amplification, with soloists from the Ensemble intercontemporain, clarinetist Alain Billard and violinist Hae-Sun Kang, as well as accordionist Anthony Millet, Franco Argentine Martin Matalon who leads a Collaboratory Ciné-Concert Workshop with participation of the Belgium collective Bl!ndman [drums] and French conductor Pierre Bleuse who leads the ULYSSES ensemble, with complicity of the musicians from the Ensemble intercontemporain.
