Ariadna Alsina trained as a violinist at the Barcelona Conservatory and in Sound Studies at the Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya, where she studied composition with L. Naón and G. Brnčic. In Paris, she trained with J. M. López López, H. Vaggione, C. Groult, H. Parra, and M. Matalon. In 2015-2016, she attended the Cursus at IRCAM and joined the master's program in Mixed Music Composition at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, where she studied with P. Dusapin, L. Naón, E. Daubresse, and M. Jarrell. She completed her thesis, under the direction of M. Solomos and A. Bonardi, on the writing of time in mixed music.

 

Influenced by the theoretical framework of spectromorphology, she is interested in the malleability and transformation of sound matter in her compositions, as well as in research on timbre.
