An outstanding figure among American composer-performers of his generation, David Fulmer has been acclaimed for the bold aesthetics of his compositions as well as his passionate interpretations. The success of his Violin Concerto at New York's Lincoln Center in 2010 brought him to the forefront of the international scene, and the work will be performed by major orchestras and at festivals in Europe, North America, and Australia. Since then, he has received commissions and requests from the most prestigious specialized phalanges in the world.

In parallel to his activity as a composer, David Fulmer leads a dual career as a conductor and violinist/performer. He holds a doctorate from the Juilliard School and joined the faculty of Columbia University in 2009.
