Take an exceptional bass player, Joëlle Léandre, whose remarkable career has crossed paths with Morton Feldman and John Cage, Giacinto Scelsi and Anthony Braxton. Take a progressive and eclectic rock trio from Baltimore which mixes intonation and American country music. Finally, take a bunch of software that can be used for live improvisation, and you'll have REACHing OUT ! This is an evening where humans and machines dream of surprising each other. We have all heard in the news about the prowess of artificial intelligence in creating similarities, in generating thing "just like....". But what about weaving together human creativity with learning processes and feedback loops? The REACH research program (European Research Council Advanced Grant of Gérard Assayag), formulates the hypothesis of cyber-human co-creativity and the emergence of coherent behaviors.
