ManiFeste-2024's final journey, with young artists from Ensemble ULYSSES and musicians from Ensemble intercontemporaoin, features the festival's hallmarks: burlesque, vivacity, and vanishing points.

Chambered Music, written at the age of 30 by Simon Steen-Andersen, breaks the confinement of sound loops with unexpected breakthroughs.

Michael Jarrell's La Chambre aux échos, inspired by Richard Powers' famous book, explores the correlations of the brain, through the circuits and introspections of a score of immense scope.

Finally, Ligeti exhibits the madness reigning in Brueghelland, the land of the Grand Macabre. The mental and vocal lapses of Gepepo, the paranoid police chief, are played by a "coloratura" trumpet. A burst of laughter and an innate sense of the grotesque and of transgression, by way of a final clap.
